Al presentar nuevamente la antigua posicion Catolica Romana sobre su postura hacia las otras Iglesia Cristianas, no se logra nada nuevo en este documento. Tampoco se refleja un entendimiento mas profundo de todo lo que se ha logrado a traves del dialogo ecumenico y la cooperacioon durante estos ultimos trienta años. Aunque este documento no sea parte de este proceso ecumenico, la idea que la iglesia Anglicana y otras iglesias no son "propiamente iglesias" parece poner en duda todo el avance ecumenico que se ha alcanzado.

The Anglican-Roman Catholic International Commission (ARCIC) met from 26 August to 3 September at the Prieuré St Benoît et Ste Scholastique, Montmartre, Paris. The Most Reverend Alexander J. Brunett, Archbishop of Seattle, USA, joined the Commission as the Roman Catholic Co-chairman. The Anglican Co-chairman is the Most Reverend Frank T. Griswold

He fought bravely against cancer for the larger period of his retirement.

It is with great sadness that I have learned of the death of Lord Runcie. He fought bravely against cancer for the larger period of his retirement. But he did so with such cheerfulness while maintaining a full diary that few were aware of the battle being waged. He was as courageous in later life as he was in his war service.
